Exhibition extended to September 25th, 2011
For the very first time, a theme exhibition which pays tribute to the bridges in the most famous monuments of Avignon- Palace of the Popes – Saint Bénezet Bridge.
Forty leading contemporary artists have joined the original idea and will be displaying their vision, their idea, their image of the bridges, whether imaginary or real, philosophical or spiritual, poetic or figurative.

Take a step back in time visiting the roman aqueduc of le Pont du Gard; Free visit of the splendid citadel of les Baux de Provence ; enjoy a provencal aperitif in a former quarry. then the tour will pass by Saint Rémy de Provence and the ruins of the antic roman village of Glanum and Saint Paul de Mausole . Keep on touring to discover the hilltops villages of the Luberon : Roussillon and its ocher colors ; Gordes and its narrow streets. Follow the valley to end up in front of the abbey of Senanque surrounding by lavender fields.
We'll end up with Fontaine de Vaucluse ( the Venise of Provence ) where you'll quietly walk along the cristal clear water of the Sorgues river.
